a depressing feature of the human brain is that we’re always eager to accept misinformation without question when it already appeals to our worldview so we end up with lots of instances of “that’s a picture of the inside of a fig actually” “no that is not the arm of a burn victim” “yo that’s the tubby custard machine” please think critically especially about information that makes you feel good
